The Berliner Ensemble opens its emphatically queer 2023/24 season with a new production of Georg Büchner's "Woyzeck," staged by the visually stunning director Ersan Mondtag. He casts the play with only men and moves the action to a forest in Saxony. In addition, there are 17 new songs by Tristan Brusch, which will be released simultaneously on the new album "Woyzeck". Mondtag promises that it will be "entertaining," despite the tragedy of the story.
