The chamber opera by the gay British composer (whose major work "Written on Skin" is presented at the Deutsche Oper by SIEGESSÄULE) is based on the medieval tale of the Pied Piper of Hamelin and premiered in Paris in 2006. Under the direction of Finnegan Downie Dear, the Staatskapelle Berlin presents Benjamin's first music theater work in a concert performance. The program will open with music by Maurice Ravel and Olivier Messiaen.
