Francesco Cavalli‘s L‘Ormindo is the only opera whose plot and characters are set in the Maghreb, yet doesn‘t resort to negative clichés. In open- air series Beauty against Violence, the opera is presented with a diverse ensemble in the Regenbogenkiez as a sign against racism and intolerance.
