In its latest programme ‘Scisser*hood’, the lesbian performance collective that emerged from the Basel squatter scene in the 1980s once again presents bilingual cabaret songs and congenial video clips with an eye for supposed trivialities. For example, the scissors are sung about as ‘tools for doing it yourself’ or the ‘adventure of old age’ (‘We are gay and grey’).
