- Feb 2, 2025, 7:00 PM
- Berliner Philharmonie
Classical concert
The DSO offers a large choral concert that starts with “Psalm 24” by the important music educator, conductor and composer Lili Boulanger (1893-1918). Then Brahms’s “Schicksalslied” and Schönberg’s “Peace on Earth”. In “Also sprach Zarathustra” by Richard Strauss, Iris Berben reads texts by Nietzsche, who his new biographer Joachim Köhler says was homosexual, which significantly influenced his philosophy (including the “Zarathustra” texts).
