There are probably few works that gay opera fans have (historically) identified with as much as the tearful story of the abandoned “Madame Butterfly.” After the Puccini work was performed at the Easter Festival in Baden Baden, the Berlin Philharmonic are giving us a chance to hear the piece in concert with the luxury cast with star tenor Jonathan Tetelman as Pinkerton and with Eleonora Buratto as Cio-Cio-San.
