After releasing their ninth LP The Center Won’t Hold last year, riot-grrrl trio Sleater-Kinney announced that their long-time drummer Janet Weiss would be departing. Carrie Brownstein and Corin Tucker are forging ahead, now touring behind their St. Vincent-pro- duced album.

The club for beer. At least the eponymous "Astra" is also served over the counter here. Otherwise, Astra is the hip music temple in the bustling neighborhood around Revaler Strasse, which still refuses to gentrify. Gossip, Peaches, Ben Harper - they've already been here, and many others are still to come.
