Birthday celebration of the queer bar
The busy Danjel Zarte (photo) has been running the local on Boxhagener Straße for three years now. Its off-shoots Kleine Freiheit and Das Hoven in Neukölln have often been attacked. One more reason to celebrate in Friedrichshain with Nikita Vegas, Kaey, Hayzel Butt and Destiny Drescher.

This cruising bar was formerly open to men only, but Grosse Freiheit 114 now welcomes all genders on most nights, including numerous parties with various scene DJs at the decks. What hasn't changed is the bar's cozy charm, and the cruising area in the back.
